Extensor Tendon Injuries

The Hand & Wrist Center frequently treats Extensor Tendon injuries in our premier hand orthopedic center. 

These tendons are commonly injured by sharp lacerations or penetrating wounds to the hand. A complete laceration or injury to the extensor tendon will result in inability to actively extend the digit or wrist. The Hand and Wrist Center can assist patients in diagnosis and surgery to repair the lacerated tendon.
