I was sent to Dr. George A. Macer, Jr. My first visit almost brought me to tears. The amount of concern and the professional handling of my situation were overwhelming. He ordered a second appointment in which he and Dr. Ross Nathan laid out in front of me what had to be done to improve my quality of life. “As an Interpreter, I have accompanied several Spanish-speaking patients to Dr. Nathan’s office. Dr. Nathan is very thorough in his exams. He may seem strict at times, but that is only to enforce what the patient needs to do to better him- or herself. Dr. Nathan wants his patients to be pain free and productive individuals.

He also does his best to make his patients feel welcome and relaxed. He has a nice gallery of hand and wrist sculptures, a state-of-the-art entertainment system, and an Internet Café for patients to enjoy. But the best part of all is his pleasant staff.”

“After breaking my wrist in November 2006, I needed to see a Hand and Wrist specialist, and I knew exactly where to go. My husband had surgery for Dupuytren’s Contracture a few weeks prior by Dr. Ross Nathan, so I knew Dr. Nathan was who I wanted to treat my wrist. In addition, I have suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis for years. When I saw Dr. Nathan, my fingers were ‘deformed,’ so when I saw Dr. Nathan he asked me why I had not had my fingers fixed before. I explained that every Rheumatologist I had seen said it was not a ‘good idea.’ In March 2007, Dr. Nathan replaced the knuckles in my left hand. I was thrilled – I always wanted to have straight fingers! That surgery went so well that in March 2008 Dr. Nathan performed surgery on my right hand. I must say that my hands not only look great, but I have no pain and they function great too! Dr.Nathan is a wonderful surgeon and a wonderful person too! “Triggering of my right thumb had been occurring for months, which progressively worsened. At one point, the joints would lock and there would be extreme pain at the base of my thumb. I had difficulty with writing and other activities of daily life.

Dr. Nathan injected my thumb with Cortisone, and after the one injection, I felt ninety-five percent better. Dr. Nathan and his staff are very professional, and they were very courteous and sensitive to my needs.”
